Scillies to Shetlands Cycle Ride

On Tuesday 7th May 2002 Revd Pippa Thorneycroft and husband John completed this epic sponsored cycle ride, adding a few islands on to the 1017 mile journey from Lands End to John o' Groats.
Don't be fooled by the miles marked on the signpost - they don't include all the bends in the quieter roads used!
Funds raised will be split 80% towards the much-needed extension to Shareshill Church, and 20% to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

When John recently retired as senior partner of Manby and Steward, Solicitors, they gave him a bike which he's now put to good use.
John is Diocesan Registrar and Legal Secretary to the Bishop of Lichfield.
