This Elms

Our village pub was under threat of demolition because together with its extensive car park in order to make room for executive homes, leaving the village without a pub.
A campaign group led by the chairman of the parish council worked extremely hard to fight to keep the Elms.

Eventually the Elms Pub and grounds were bought by Freshspace Homes.
The pub has now been refurbished and leased to an independant tenant. The restaurant has re-opened and there's a regular change of real ale guest beers.
You can see from the pictures below how much better the place looks on the outside; the difference inside is even more noticeable.

A complex of varied homes has been built on the larger car park, leaving the smaller section to serve the Elms.
